Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FedAudit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FedAudit is a federal spending analysis and audit intelligence tool that retrieves and analyzes publicly available data from USAspending.gov and related federal databases. All data is sourced from public government APIs and is subject to the availability and accuracy of those sources.

3. Not Financial or Legal Advice

FedAudit is a data compilation and analysis tool. The reports, flags, and analysis generated by the Service do not constitute financial advice, legal findings, official audit determinations, or government-endorsed conclusions. All output is algorithmically generated from public data. Users are solely responsible for interpreting and acting on any information provided by the Service.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account, exceed your plan's seat limits, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

5. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms of service.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to scrape or bulk-export data beyond your plan limits, reverse engineer the platform, interfere with other users, or misrepresent the source or nature of reports generated by FedAudit. Commercial redistribution of reports requires written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The FedAudit platform, its design, and its proprietary analysis algorithms are owned by FedAudit. Underlying government data is in the public domain. Reports generated for your account are licensed to you for personal or organizational use.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in ways that could harm others.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes by email.
